In this group Zoom class you will learn to do two color knitting while creating a stranded colorwork hat, using the hat pattern I will provide. You will learn to read a chart, maintain tension, keep colors consistent on the back, and more.

I will e-mail a link for the class the day before.  I have my iPad set up on a stand so that I can show you how to do things in real time.  If we haven’t corresponded recently, I’ll send you a confirmation e-mail when you sign up, to be sure I have your correct e-mail address.

Materials: Have three different colors of contrasting worsted weight yarn that go together well.  (This will be approximately 50 g of the main color  and 25 and 10 g of contrasting colors.)  Have appropriate needles for working the yarn: 16” circular or needles for your preferred method of circular knitting.

Homework: You will cast on and knit circularly in 1 x 1 or 2 x 2 ribbing for 1¼ inches (3 or 4 and more yarn if you want to turn it up) on needles one size smaller than those you will use in the class  (CO numbers coming soon).
